VASE - TAHITIAN MOTHER OF PEARL STRIPS

Table vases made of Tahitian (black) mother of pearl shells. Commonly farmed for its pearls, the shells of these oysters get recycled and repurposed into this decorative object instead of ending up in the landfills as waste. The shells are carefully cut into tiny rectangular strips, get arranged by their colour tones and then gets inlaid one by one by our skilled artisans.
